Laura Hopper, PhD
Dr. Laura Hopper is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 15 years of experience. During this time she has conducted both clinical and forensic psychological assessments as well as provided therapeutic services. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Law and Criminal Behavior and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from California Lutheran University. She earned her Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Forensic Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University. She completed her training through the California Department of Rehabilitation, Alvarado Parkway Institute, and the San Marcos Unified School District.
Dr. Hopper has provided assessments in private practice, treatment programs, psychiatric institutions, and school settings for both clinical and forensic purposes. She has experience providing therapy to adolescents and adults dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, substance abuse, interpersonal difficulties, grief and loss, parenting, phase of life transitions, and struggles with everyday stress. She has taught doctorate-level courses in psychological assessment and therapy for the California School of Forensic Studies at Alliant International University since 2011. She is also member of the adjunct faculty at Palomar College. Additionally, she is trained in biofeedback and neurofeedback.
