Laraine Lipori, PsyD
Laraine Lipori, Psy.D. is a licensed Clinical Psychologist and Certified Cognitive Behavioral specialist who has been working in the areas of psychology and neuropsychology for the past 15 years. Throughout these years, Dr. Lipori has assisted patients of all ages with neuropsychological and psychological assessment and therapeutic intervention. In her training, Dr. Lipori has had the opportunity to work at the University of California, San Diego’s (UCSD), Neuropsychiatry and Behavioral Medicine Unit, providing neuropsychological assessment to all admitted patient in order inform treatment planning and implementation. She also has focused her efforts on giving back to the San Diego community through her work at the St. Vincent de Paul Village Counseling Center. There, Dr. Lipori worked in tandem with the director of the Counseling Center to develop a neuropsychology-specific training program in order to train interns in the field of Neuropsychological Assessment. During her time there, she completed numerous neuropsychological and psychological evaluations to assist patients seeking Social Security and Disability benefits.
In 2006, Dr. Lipori joined San Diego Neuropsychology. Through her work at San Diego Neuropsychology, she has administered countless Neuropsychological and Psychological test batteries to patients of all age ranges. When not administering Neuropsychological or Psychological test batteries, Dr. Lipori specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy. Through this work she provides individualized therapeutic treatment to adolescent and adult populations suffering from a wide array of diagnoses, including but not limited to, depression, anxiety, PTSD, phobias, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Unique to Dr. Lipori’s work, is her specialized work in treating patients who have suffered mild traumatic brain injury and in tailoring their treatment to the individual needs of this unique population. Adding to the services provided by San Diego Neuropsychology, Dr. Lipori also provides Cognitive Remediation services to patients who have suffered neurological insult, working with them in individual sessions to improve cognitive skills and abilities and restore cognitive functioning.
